Ari Hauben is a contemporary artist, based in Boston’s Fort Point neighborhood, known for his unique mixed-media works that blend pop and street art techniques. His process incorporates newspaper, melted crayon, epoxy, spray paint, and layering techniques, creating visually compelling pieces that reveal deeper meaning upon closer inspection. With a BFA in industrial design from RIT and an MFA from BU, he embraces a multidisciplinary approach, allowing each artwork to dictate its materials and style. In addition to his artistic practice, Ari has been a dedicated art teacher in Boston Public Schools for 15 years, earning the 2018 Boston Educator of the Year award for his work with students facing emotional and behavioral challenges.
